Miriam Kozak, a passionate Polish violinist, is currently immersed in her Baroque violin studies at the Haute école de musique de Genève. With dual Bachelor's degrees in contemporary and Baroque violin, she boasts a rich history of performing in diverse settings, from chamber and Baroque ensembles to symphony orchestras. Miriam is defined by her unyielding ambition and relentless pursuit of virtuosic mastery. She revels in the beauty of chamber music, earning recognition for her expressive interpretations and unwavering commitment to historical authenticity. She's on a quest to find her distinct voice in solo performances while collaboratively crafting nuanced phrasing in chamber ensembles. Miriam is equally captivated by the interplay between music and folklorism, weaving the alluring aspects of classical music into her performances. Beyond her musical pursuits, Miriam is a dedicated educator, guiding students to connect deeply with music by teaching them to listen and feel it. Miriam holds a Bachelor's degree in Baroque violin from the Frederic Chopin University of Music in Warsaw. Currently pursuing her Master's in Baroque violin at HEM Geneva, expected to complete in 2025. In 2023, Miriam received the prestigious Young Poland 2023 scholarship, which facilitated the acquisition of her Baroque violins, further enriching her artistic journey. Her instrument collection includes contemporary violins with a legacy from her great-grandfather (of unknown German school origin) and a replica of an Amati violin (crafted by Jan Jakub Lipiński, Poznań 2023).
