music education
During my studies at the Fryderyk Chopin Academy of Music in Warsaw, Department of Music Education, Section of Rhythmics, I was awarded with the scholarship of the Ministry of Culture and Art in the academic years of 1986/1987 and 1987/88. In 1989 I was at a scholarship of the Ministry of Culture and Art in Pécs, Hungary. During my stay at the Free School of Art I learned about the musical and visual method by F. Lantos and M. Apagyi. I used the collected materials in my MA thesis which was supervised by Prof. Szabolcs Esztényi.
For a few years after graduation I had an opportunity to try out the mentioned method in practice. I conducted music and visual classes and piano improvisation classes at a primary music school.
As early as when I still was a student I was invited by Dean of the Department of Music Education to cooperate as a pianist/improviser at music and movement classes. In the period of 2000–2012 I accompanied to national dance classes at the Department of Vocal Studies at the Fryderyk Chopin Complex of State Music Schools in Warsaw.
I hold the post of Senior Lecturer at the Unit of Rhythmics and Piano Improvisation at the Department of Choir Conducting, Music Education, Church Music, Rhythmics and Dance, where I have run piano improvisation classes since 1991. I pass on my knowledge and experience to students specializing in Rhythmics and Choir Conducting. Since 1989 I have also taught piano improvisation at the Department of Rhythmics at the Fryderyk Chopin Complex of State Music.
In order to improve my qualifications I participate in courses in Poland and abroad. In 2013 I became an expert of the Centre of Artistic Education and I co-created the piano improvisation curriculum for secondary music schools.
