Gabriela Machowska

Department: Department of Music Education, Choral Studies and Rhythmics

She graduated from the Fryderyk Chopin University of Music in Warsaw, where she studied under Prof. Paweł Kamiński, Prof. Maja Nosowska and  Dr hab. Robert Morawski. She also graduated from the Musicology Institute at Warsaw University, where she wrote a master's thesis about piano chamber music of Ignacy Feliks Dobrzyński.

She graduated from the Fryderyk Chopin University of Music in Warsaw, where she studied under Prof. Paweł Kamiński, Prof. Maja Nosowska and  Dr hab. Robert Morawski.

She also graduated from the Musicology Institute at Warsaw University, where she wrote a master's thesis about piano chamber music of Ignacy Feliks Dobrzyński.

She had an opportunity to develop her piano skills with Evgeny Moguilevsky and Olga Roumchevitch at Conservatoire Royal de Bruxelles. She won the Queen of Belgium scholarship twice, as a result of which she participated at Musica Mundi Chamber Music Course and Festival in Waterloo, Belgium.

In 2010 she recorded a CD called „Chopin's traditions in Lviv” containing rarely performed works written by Chopin's students (Karol Mikuli, Mieczysław Sołtys, Stanisław Niewiadomski). The CD was a beginning of many promoting concerts in Ukraine (Lviv, Rivne, Chernovcy), Warsaw Music Society, Austria Forum of Culture, Polish Songs Festival in Wilanów Palace, Polish Royal Opera.

She also performed in National Philharmonic, Koszalin Philharmonic, Podkarpacka Philharmonic, with Capella Bydgostiensis, Suwałki Chamber Orchestra and Symphonic Orchestra in Zamość.

She is also experienced as Astor's Piazzolla's music, as well as argentinian traditional tangos performer, which she played with „Sentido del tango” group. In 2011 they recorded an album „Retrato”.

She cooperates with singers and choirs, preparing vocal and orchestral works. In 2019 she took part in preparing Krzysztof Penderecki's „Requiem” to be performed at a II World War jubilee.

From 2017 she works as a pianist at the Department of Choir Conducting and Singing, Music Education and Rhythmics of the Fryderyk Chopin University of Music.
