Internationally he worked with Paderewski Symphony Orchestra (USA), WDR Big Band and NDR Big Band (Germany) as well as the Czech Philhar¬mo-nic. He has also been leading his very own Adam Sztaba Orchestra for over a decade now. In 2016, he conducted the World Youth Day orchestra in Cracow, Poland. Through his arrangements, he had the opportunity to meet and work with renowned artists, such as: Quincy Jones, Terence Blanchard, Chris Botti, Dolores O’Riordan, Michael Bolton, China Moses, Karel Gott, Caro Emerald, Helena Vondráčkova, José Carreras, José Curra, Demis Roussos, Čechomor and Aleksandra Kurzak.

Born in Koszalin, Poland, Adam was considered a child prodigy. At school he studied piano but when at the age of 17 he saw the first Polish musical Metro, he turned to writing.
His own musical Fatamorgana? premiered in his hometown in March of 1993. Consequently, he went on to study composition at the Fryderyk Chopin University of Music, Warsaw, Poland. He gained enormous popularity since his first participation in a TV show - the Polish edition of Idol in 2002, where he conducted the show’s band. Soon after, he started working for Strictly Come Dancing, as music director, conductor and arranger. Between 2011-2016, he was a juror of Must Be The Music, where he selected and mentored Polish talents.

Author of numerous symphony pieces and works for film and theatre, often commissioned by Polish cultural institutions and demanding artists. His recent works include Leopoldinum, Polonaise, Po-Głosy and Riffenuto composed for the Polish Institute of Music and Dance and included in an educational app Orkiestrownik. His compositions have roots in Polish folk music. He often adds a rhythm section or electronics to his orchestral pieces. Consequently, he also finds great pleasure in conducting contemporary orchestral works with an enhanced rhythmic element.

Adam likes sharing his talents and skills with young composers and arrangers through nationwide workshops. He annually conducts charity summer concerts in Zakopane, organised by Pro Artis Foundation for young disabled singers, where the participants share their passion for the folk music heritage of the Polish mountains.
