He has served as President of the Music Society in Radom and was among the founders of the Radom Chamber Orchestra.

Przemysław Zych’s works have been performed in Poland and abroad by distinguished soloists, ensembles, and conductors. An important aspect of his artistic work is the preparation and performance of world premieres of works by contemporary Polish composers. He has collaborated with numerous ensembles and artistic institutions as a conductor, arranger, and performer.

He took part in the first edition of the “Composer-in-Residence” programme run by the Institute of Music and Dance. Many of his works have been commissioned under the “Composers’ Commissions” programme of the Polish Ministry of Culture and National Heritage.

In 2021, he led the world premiere performance and recording of Polish Rhapsody (Piano Concerto), Op. 14 by Stanisław Wisłocki (1941), a work rediscovered by him. He also prepared the complete performance materials for publication by the Polish Music Publishing House (PWM Edition).

In May 2013, his chamber opera Poiesis, based on Zbigniew Herbert’s play Reconstruction of the Poet, received its world premiere at the Bydgoszcz Opera Festival. His ballet Alice in Wonderland (2015), with libretto and choreography by Jacek Tyski, has remained in the repertoire of the Opera at the Castle in Szczecin for over a decade. A new version of the work, with libretto and choreography by Robert Bondara, premiered at Opera Nova in Bydgoszcz in June 2022. This collaboration also resulted in the ballet The Snow Queen, premiered in 2023 at the Grand Theatre in Poznań. The artists are currently working on a new production for the Grand Theatre – Polish National Opera, with the premiere scheduled for May 2026. Przemysław Zych also collaborated with Krzysztof Pastor on the production An American in Paris, preparing the musical concept and orchestrating selected works by George Gershwin (premiere: Opera Nova in Bydgoszcz, 2026).

In 2011, the album New Polish Music for Choir (Musica Sacra Edition) was released, featuring his psalm Miserere for mixed choir a cappella, performed by Schola Cantorum Gedanensis under the direction of Jan Łukaszewski. The album received the Fryderyk Award 2012 in the Contemporary Music category. As a conductor, he also gave the premiere performance and recording of Ignacy Zalewski’s Bardo Thodol. Released in 2025 by Chopin University Press, the album received a Fryderyk Award nomination in the category Album of the Year – Oratorio and Opera Music.
