Musica Intellectualis

Musica Intellectualis is a collective publication of authors associated with the Fryderyk Chopin University of Music. The concept of the series assumes various forms of presentation of widely understood issues related to music: from scientific dissertations through considerations of performing arts and education to journalistic texts.

The materials appear in Polish in the form of articles, reviews, reports and interviews assigned to several thematic blocks: Sketches and Reflections, Profiles, Studies, Translations, Performing Arts and Education, and Varia - Events, Records, Books. All texts include abstracts, key words and authors' biographies in Polish and English. Articles posted in the Studies section undergo two independent reviews.

The integration of creative thought within a single platform gives both theorists and representatives of performance studies a chance to express themselves. Musica Intellectualis serves to present the results of research conducted not only by those associated with the UMFC - its professors, staff, doctoral students, alumni and students - but is also open to authors from other artistic and scientific centers.
