Prof. dr hab. Marcin Błażewicz

left us forever
at the age of 68, on 5 April this year.

Late Prof. dr hab. Marcin Błażewicz was for many years Academic Professor of our School,
in the years 1999–2002 and 2005–2008, Vice-Dean of the Department of Composition, Conducting and Theory of Music,
in term 2008–2012 Dean of the Department of Composition, Conducting and Theory of Music and in the years  2012–2016 Head of the Chair of Composition.

Educator of several generations of composers, laureate of many composers’ competitions.

Good and generous person,

Friend of students.

Meritorious for Polish culture,

Awarded with „Gloria Artis” Silver Medal,

many times honoured with the UMFC Rector’s Award.
