Anna Krzysztofik-Buczyńska

She graduated with honours from the I.J. Paderewski State Primary Music School in Tarnowskie Góry, piano class of H.H. Gacka-Krzysztofik, General Primary and Secondary Music School in Bytom, class of M. Zegalska, and she completed MA and postgraduate studies at the Department of Instrumental and Educational Studies in Białystok (Fryderyk Chopin Academy of Music), class of Professor J. Kadłubiski.
As a pianist she has taken part in numerous competitions and auditions, winning awards and distinctions. She developed her piano skills under the supervision of: A. Orlovetsky (Russia), J. Rose (USA), A. Jasiński, C. Stańczyk, M. Catani (Italy), M. O’Rourke (Ireland), J. Banowetz (USA), A. Wodnicki (USA) and Duo Pepicelli (Italy). She started to learn harpsichord playing at the FCAM’s Department in Białystok under P. Wilczyński, and then under E. Adamczyk. In 2008 she completed (with honours) uniform MA studies at the FCUM (Department in Białystok), harpsichord class of L. Stawarz.
She performed a harpsichord recital at the St. Cross Church in Warsaw (2006). As a soloist she participated in the Early Music Forum at the FCAM in Warsaw (2006), and in 12 Bach Days at the Academy of Music in Cracow (2007). She is a co-founder of the Early Music Ensemble ‘CONSORT 415’, with which she performs as a soloist and chamber musician, playing basso continuo parts on harpsichord or positive. As an orchestra musician she works at the Symphony Orchestra of the Podlasie Philharmonic in Białystok, playing piano, celesta, and organ parts. She participated in their concert in Petersburg at Smolny Convent in 2006, and also in a concert tour in Sweden (Stockholm — Göteborg) in 2009. As a coach she worked for the OIFP-ECS in Białystok during the realization of operas: “The Haunted Manor” by S. Moniuszko, and “Pimpinone” by G.Ph. Telemann, as well as musicals: “Korczak” by Ch. Williams, “The Phantom of the Opera” by A.L. Weber. Thanks to playing a few instruments the repertoire she performs spans from the 16th century music to contemporary music.
She is a lecturer (pianist and harpsichordist) at the FCUM’s Department of Instrumental and Educational Studies in Białystok.
