Anna Stankiewicz

Department: Department of Instrumental and Educational Studies of the UMFC Branch in Bialystok

Ph. D. Anna Stankiewicz has graduated from the F. Chopin University of Music in Warsaw – Białystok Branch where she studied Musical Education (conducting vocal and instrumental ensambles) – conducting class under supervision of prof. Bożena Violetta Bielecka. During the course of her studies she was also a consultant to the Choir of Białystok Technical University, she also sang in „Cantica Cantamus” Białystok Chamber Choir.

Mrs. Stankiewicz also graduated postgraduate studies at „Carl Orff Musical Education”, „Art.”, „Culture Studies”, „Education Managment” and „Teaching Music Subjects at Music School”. She is a headmaster of Primary School no. 28 in Bialystok and a teacher at Białystok Department of Instrumental and Educational Studies at Fryderyk Chopin University of Music.

For her achievements in the education and artistic activities she has received National Education Commission Medal, Bronze Cross Merit, Superintendent of Schools Award, President of Białystok Award (twice), City Board Chairman Award for teachers and cultural animators and the award by the headmaster of the XI Secondary School where she useed to teach culture and conducted art workshops and the school choir. Since 2009 she has been the conductor of the Choir City of Białystok. The choir has been receiving numerous awards in national music competitions in all Europe.
