Ezgi Yalcinkaya

Ezgi Yalcinkaya was born on September 17, 1997 in Ankara. At age 11, she started her musical education at the Music Conservatory in Eskişehir in Turkey and she continued her studies there until finishing her Bachelor’s in 2019. During her studies, she took part in the Erasmus+ program in Poland. After finishing her studies at the Conservatory, she returned to Poland and in 2021 she received her Master’s Degree from the Chopin University of Music. A year later, she continued her studies and graduated with a Performance Certificate in Piano.

During her studies at UMFC she was under a highly acclaimed pedagogue and mentor- prof. Jerzy Sterczyński.
Her experience comes from several collaborations with outstanding pianists including: Alfred Brendel, Christian Zacharias, Janusz Olejniczak, Andrzej Jasiński, Lilya Zilberstein, Jonathan Plowright, Yury Martynov, Mauricio Vallina, Muza Rubackyte, Pierre Reach, Fazıl Say, Freddy Kempf, Misha Dadic, Malgorzata Zarębińska, Edna Golansky, Aldo Ragon, Gülsin Onay, Herbert Schuch and Karsten De Jong, amongs others.

She also took part in several piano recitals at the Steinway & Sons salons in Warsaw. In the past years, Ezgi has performed as a soloist and as a chamber musician in Poland, Hungary, Turkey and the USA. 

In 2012, she performed at the 9th International Music Festival Gumusluk in Bodrum, Turkey. A year later, she took part in the following edition of the festival. In 2014, she was invited to take part in the 15th International Piano Association Festival in Split, Croatia. The same year, she also took part in the International Music Festival in Antalya, Turkey. In March 2018, she performed as an honorable-mention international music student in Jedna Europa – Wiele Twarzy in Warsaw. Furthermore, in June 2020, Ezgi received an invitation to take part at the Global Hope Festival where the transmission was live in the United States. In 2021, she took part in the IV. Master Courses for Pianists in Turzno, where the capstone was a concert of selected musicians. Successful performances also occurred in Anadolu University Concert Hall in Turkey, New World of Music in Warsaw, Chopin Piano Salon in Warsaw, and the Palace Szustra in Warsaw. At the moment, she is developing her musical career by partaking in multiple music festivals in Poland. Simultaneously, Ezgi is teaching at The Fryderyk Chopin University of Music and giving performances also with her Sax&Piano Duo.
