The album Ludomir Różycki: 5 Preludes Op. 2, 4 Intermezzi Op. 42, Sonata in A Minor Op. 10 presents chamber and solo compositions by one of the most important Polish opera composers. The pieces belong to the early stage of Różycki’s oeuvre, still embedded in the late-Romantic tradition. The repertoire is presented by artists associated with the city of Białystok: the pianist Olga Anikiej and the double bassist Kamil Łomasko. The main focus of the album is the extremely expressive Sonata in A minor, Op. 10 in a surprising version – for double bass and piano, prepared by Kamil Łomasko; moreover, this is the recording premiere of the Sonata performed in this version.
