OPEN CALL: Sounds of the Metaverse 2026
We invite music, sound, and new media creators to submit their works for this year's edition of the Sounds of the Metaverse conference, taking place on November 25–26, 2026. The event will provide a unique space to present innovative artistic projects that bridge the worlds of XR (Extended Reality) and music.

The works selected in the Open Call will be presented to a wide audience at the Chopin University of Music (UMFC).

Who are we looking for?
We are looking for projects exploring the potential of sound in virtual (VR), augmented (AR), and mixed (MR) realities. Submissions must be artistic projects and may include, but are not limited to:
Interactive sound and visual-musical installations in XR environments.
Virtual performances and immersive concert experiences.
Innovative virtual instruments and spatial audio compositions.
Artistic applications exploring multisensory musical narratives.

Reimbursement of event participation costs (transportation, accommodation, per diems).
Technical support for the presentation and adaptation of the installation to the venue's specifications.
Networking with sound directors, new media art curators, and creators from the XR industry.

Submission Guidelines
Please submit proposals containing the following elements:
Title and description of the artistic concept (max. 2000 characters).
Technical rider and precise spatial requirements.
Estimated budget required for the realization/presentation of the project.
Portfolio or links to previous works.
Reference materials for the submitted project (video, concept sketches, application demo).
