Frederico Heliodoro | 15.05.2025

Frederico Heliodoro is a true musical renaissance man - first and foremost a bass and guitar player, but also a vocalist, keyboardist, composer, arranger and music producer.

Born in Belo Horizonte in the State of Minas Gerais, Brazil, he is a continuation of the extremely rich and internationally loved musical tradition of the region. He performs regularly with the top of the Brazilian and world jazz scene. Among other things, he has collaborated with the living legend of jazz guitar, Kurt Rosenwinkel, being a member of his ‘Caipi Band’; he was the bassist on the farewell tour of Brazilian music legend Milton Nascimento. In addition, he has collaborated with such world-class artists as Louis Cole, Pedro Martins, Aaron Parks, David Binney, John Escreet, Blake Mills, Sam Gendel.

Frederico Heliodoro's work organically combines a variety of influences - jazz, electronic music, rock and blues - with the abundant output of Brazilian music, especially that of Minas Gerais. There are echoes of the music of MIlton Nascimento, Toninho Horta and Beto Guedes in his progressive and modern music.
