Pinchas Zukerman is one of the most outstanding violinists of our time, as well as a violist, conductor, and educator.
Born in 1948 in Tel Aviv, he studied at the Juilliard School in New York under the guidance of Ivan Galamian and Dorothy DeLay. A two-time Grammy Award winner, he is known for his exceptional musicality and masterful interpretations of the classical and romantic repertoire. He has performed with the world’s leading orchestras and for many years served as the music director of the National Arts Centre Orchestra in Ottawa.
