Arek Adamczyk is a laureate of all bassoon competitions in Poland, including winning the Grand Prix at the Łódź International Academic Oboe and Bassoon Competition in 2002. He graduated with honours from the Royal College of Music in London and the Chopin Academy of Music in Warsaw. In 2022 he became a graduate of the Mannheim Music Academy, where he studied with Professor Ole Kristian Dahl.

He is currently a professor at the I. J. Paderewski Academy of Music in Poznań. As a soloist, he has performed bassoon concertos with various orchestras in Europe, including, a bassoon concerto dedicated to him by British composer Adrian Williams - Spectrum.

He regularly performs as guest first bassoonist with major UK symphony orchestras, including the Royal Philharmonic Orchestra, the BBC Concert Orchestra and the London Mozart Players.  Since 2017, he has been the organiser of the prestigious bassoon festival “Pracownia Fagocisty" in Poznań. Arek Adamczyk is active in teaching and research in Poland and abroad.

He plays the Heckel bassoon # 7244 Jubilee Edition.
