The University of Music is one of the most important concert centres in Warsaw, brimming with ideas and initiatives of its students and a large group of concert teachers. The concert activity of the Chopin University of Music is aimed at popularizing the artistic achievements of the entire university community and at disseminating music among a large number of listeners who pay us a visit, which means residents of Warsaw and people from all around Poland as well as foreign tourists visiting the capital.
The university stages host chamber concerts and recitals, symphonic and oratorio concerts as well as opera, musical and dance performances. There are also more casual forms of artistic communication, which are also very popular, such as big band and brass band concerts, jazz and world music presentations as well as multimedia events, electronic and computer music. Concerts under the Chopin University of Music artistic season are organized by the Chopin University of Music Concert Bureau.
The university takes pride in its artistic ensembles. The Symphony Orchestra, made up of students of the Department of Instrumental Studies, presents a number of new concert programmes every year featuring both world symphonic music and premieres of works by composers from our university. It also cooperates with many famous soloists, and young musicians have the opportunity to work with outstanding conductors from Poland and abroad. The Chopin University of Music Mixed Choir consists of students of ‘non-instrumental’ departments – vocalists, dancers, sound engineers, composers, conductors of all specialties as well as organists and pianists. There is also the Brass Band and the wildly popular Chopin University Big Band. Recently, chamber ensembles of an impresario character have established themselves at the university: Chopin University Chamber Orchestra, Chopin University Chamber Choir, Chopin University Dance Company, Chopin University Modern Ensemble, Chopin University Electronic Music Studio and Chopin University Accordion Trio.
Almost all concerts under the university’s artistic season are archived by students of the Department of Sound Engineering under the supervision of their teachers. Some of these recordings appear later on albums published by Chopin University Press. Since 2020, some of the concerts have also been recorded in the audio-visual version, thanks to which they are later available on the university’s YouTube channel.
Our stages also host many student initiatives (e.g. activities of research clubs, the Students’ Self-Government) or additional chair and departmental undertakings, not included in the university’s official concert calendar. For many years, during the summer holidays, the ‘Chopin-Górecki’ Music Festival and Course has been organized at the Chopin University of Music, popularizing Polish music and music tradition among foreign art students.

ARTISTIC SEASON 2023/2024
The 2024/2025 artistic season invites you to regular concerts and events, scheduled from October 2024 to May 2025, excluding holiday periods and the winter session and inter-semester break:
- on Mondays at 1900 - concerts in the Concert Hall or the Melcer Chamber Hall,
- on Wednesdays at 1900 hours - concerts of the Środa na Okólniku series in the Concert Hall,
- on Fridays at 1900 - concerts of the UMFC KAMERALNIE series at the Melcer Chamber Hall or CHOPIN UNIVERSITY CINEMA film screenings at the Szymanowski Auditorium and Cinema Hall,
- once a month on Sundays at 1200 - musical meetings for children SMALL MUSIC UNIVERSITY in the Szymanowski Auditorium-Cinema Hall,
- on Sundays at 1700 - concerts in the Concert Hall.
We reserve the right to change the venue of the concerts relative to the above schedule.

Tickets
Distribution of tickets is carried out two weeks in advance exclusively through the Bilety24 service. Tickets for UMFC concerts are priced from PLN 1 to PLN 25, including the Bilety24 commission.
Purchase of tickets is possible:
- on the website www.umfc.bilety24.pl,
- at the Tickets24 ticket machine at the main entrance to UMFC, available during the university's opening hours,
- at the ticket office of the Chopin University Press Bookstore in the UMFC building, open Mon. 1600-2000, Tues. 1200-1600, Wed. 1600-2000, Thurs. 1200-1600, pt. 1200-1600.
- Admission to all events of the UMFC artistic season is possible only on the basis of a ticket or invitation.
- We do not sell subscriptions.
- We do not conduct reservations of seats or tickets.
- It is not possible to return tickets - please purchase thoughtfully.
- When purchasing tickets online and at the ticket machine, the university will not refund the commission charged by the service.
- In the event of cancellation of an event, proof of purchase must be presented for a refund.
- Smoking is strictly prohibited on the premises of the Chopin University of Music (this includes electronic cigarettes).
- Please arrive on time for concerts. Late arrivals will be allowed by ticket takers to enter the concert hall during the intervals between works without guarantee of taking their seat.
- Video filming, photography or sound recording during concerts without written permission from the organizer is not permitted.
- Bringing food and drink into the concert halls is prohibited.
- Please turn off signals on electronic watches and cell phones.
- UMFC reserves the right to change programs, performers and concert dates.
We would like to remind you that all UMFC students have free admission to all UMFC artistic season events (no guarantee of seating) upon presentation of a valid student ID card.
On December 12, 2024. - January 6, 2025, the Chopin University Press bookstore will be closed. Orders placed at chopinup.pl will also not be shipped during this time. On December 16-18, 2024, only concert tickets will be available for purchase stationarily.
During this period, tickets for UMFC concerts will be available only on Bilety24:
- from December 27 - tickets for the concert on January 8 and the cinema screening on January 10,
- from December 30 - tickets for concerts on January 12, 13 and 14.Tickets for the concerts on January 15, 17, 19 and 20 will be made available on January 7 on both the Bilety24 website, the CUP Bookstore and the ticket machine.
