The first "Chopin-Górecki" Festival and Music Course took place at the Chopin University of Music 26 years ago. Over this time, it has become one of the most important artistic events of the University. The festival promotes Polish culture and music, and the presented works by composers such as Chopin, Szymanowski, Lutosławski and Górecki become a source of inspiration for an international group of guests.
The festival is visited by students from many countries around the world, including: USA, France, Belgium, Italy, Korea, Japan, China and of course from Poland. They have the opportunity to improve their skills under the supervision of outstanding specialists in such specialties as singing, composition, playing the piano, violin, cello, flute and tuba.
In addition to individual lessons, the festival includes lectures given by UMFC professors and concerts of participants and great artists such as: KWADROFONIK band, KAPELA ZE WSI WARSZAWA, proMODERN, DOROTA MIŚKIEWICZ with band, SZYMANOWSKI QUARTET, DUO GRANAT.
