The specialty called Choir Vocal Studies was created in the academic year 2017/2018 as the first such specialty in Poland
The unique feature of the programme is the emphasise out on the use of two subject areas, which shape both the individual awareness of vocal technique – necessary for choir work, as well as the skills allowing to obtain uniform tone colour of ensemble sound. An important aim in the process of education is mastering the skills of agile sight singing as well as methodics of group voice production.
The 2-year curriculum for MA studies formulated this way offers students an opportunity to gain specialist skills connected with choir studies and extended practical knowledge related to individual work with voice in a vocal ensemble. Students will learn and understand the value of using the acquired vocal technique skills and will be able to use their own skills for group work.
The implementation of the curriculum allows students to find synergy in group activities based on own competencies.

The growing globalization processes allow graduates to be able to successfully find themselves on the job market both in Poland and abroad – enabling them to find employment at professional philharmonic, radio, opera and chamber ensembles. Graduates specialising in Choir Vocal Studies can also work at academic, cathedral and school choirs as well as at singers’ associations as voice production instructors.
